 FAQs

  • Several factors determine the length of time to construct a home. Items such as finding a lot, designing the architecture, picking the home’s finishes, changing items mid-construction and weather delays are all activities that could affect the construction’s timeline. An average custom construction timeline is 12-15 months so plan using these numbers but know that it could be faster or longer depending on the circumstances.

  • Mission Home Builders partners with Williamson Group Real Estate for real estate services. We’ll work with you to define the lot criteria based on your budget and your home’s specific needs, then WGRE will locate the perfect lot for your home. MHB will be right alongside you throughout the contract process to perform the proper due diligence for the site.

  • The answer to this question can vary. For construction costs, it is reasonable to budget $225+/SF for a Central Austin home. This number could move either direction depending on your specific lot conditions and your design selections. For example, a 2-story home with few windows, board and batten exterior, concrete/carpet floors, and basic fixtures will be cheaper than a large 1-story house with lots of windows, stucco exterior, wood/marble floors etc. Designing a home is an exciting process! Our job is to help you make smart selections that fit within your budget and work towards achieving your goals for the way your home looks and lives.

  • Mission Home Builders has several banking relationships who can be a great source for the financing of your home.
